The all-inclusive Allegro Papagayo's Spanish-style architecture situates each of 14 three-story buildings into the hillside descending to the sightseeing tower, the large, freeform pool and restaurants. A frequent, complimentary shuttle conveniently delivers guests from their room to the other buildings.
Each guest room balcony or patio becomes the perfect picture window into Costa Rica's rich, natural beauty. The vivid green bluffs, sparkling blue waters and a wide expanse of sunny skies provide an in-room show, sunrise to sunset. Tropical colors outside inspire the room design with serene, cool terra cotta tile. Linen colors reflect sand and surf.

Guests may customize their room through upgrades to reflect their ideal Costa Rican experience. All rooms include the choice of a king-size bed or two queen-size beds, a balcony or terrace, a private, full bath, hair dryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, coffee maker, in-room safe and mini-fridge. Cribs and rollaway beds are available upon request.

Restaurants & Bars

The variety and freshness at the Allegro Papagayo's main buffet and its nightly themes draw rave reviews. The sophisticated diner delights in two a la carte dining restaurants. Two snack bars offer a quick bite and four bars provide a cool drink - all meals and refreshments are included in the room rate.

Los Corales is the international buffet open for breakfast, lunch and dinner including a seafood buffet night with lobster and jumbo shrimp. The dress code is casual in this open-air buffet. For a dressier affair, guests head La Trattoria for menu-style, fine Italian fare. La Cantina features menu-style Tex-Mex specialties in a casual, fun atmosphere. Lunch or a snack away from the buffet can be found at the pool Snack Bar or the Beach Club snack bar lounge. The Sports Bar and Disco coexist within the doors of Fast Eddie's where billiards give way to dance music after 10pm.

Los Corales/International buffet-style dining. Continental breakfast 6:30 - 7am, Breakfast 7 - 10am, Snacks 11am - 5pm, Lunch 1 - 3pm, Dinner 6:30 - 9:30pm.

The Grill/A la carte dining featuring specialty grilled meat selections. Two seatings: 6:30 and 8:30pm. Reservation required 10 - 11am at the buffet restaurant. Appropriate dress required.
El Mirador/Lobby Bar. National brand liquors and a selection of favorite mixers. Open 10am - 6pm.
Pablo Bar/The popular pool bar. Open 10am - 11pm.
Sports and Disco Bar. Open 5pm - 2am.

For endless fun, adventure and relaxation, the all-inclusive Allegro Papagayo offers guests numerous ways to fill their days or keep them deliciously light on strenuous activities. The all-inclusive plan means everything from the Fun Club's activities and pool sports to the Kids Club activities to the Beach Club's non-motorized water sports - it's all included in the room rate. After dinner, take in the live, nightly entertainment or hit the disco to dance the night away. Tips, tax, admittance to the disco, it's all included.

The fun begins poolside where guests can take advantage of the great activities in the all-inclusive package such as aerobics, water polo, and water basketball. Head to the private beach on a complimentary 10-minute shuttle boat ride, where the adventure continues with beach soccer, volleyball, kayaking, boogie boarding, snorkeling, swimming and windsurfing. The relaxation happens as guests, after dropping off their children at the supervised Kids Club, are free to lounge in a chaise poolside, play a game of billiards, chess, cards or board games.
